Week 2 continued

I setup (and registered) my blog on Jan. 16. Today, Jan. 26, is the first time I've had a chance to try to locate it once again and of course I had problems! All new technology comes with different ways to access that information, and....more IDs and passwords.

This time I bookmarked my place, took notes on how I accessed the postings page and hopefully I'm on my way once again! Now ready to tackle Exercise #5 (Week 3). I'm only a little behind I think.

Week one - 7 1/2 Habits

Habit 3 seeing problems as challenges has always been the most difficult of these guidelines for me to follow. I tend to see problems as obstacles (a friend sees herself as being "pelted with marshmallows" when one small thing after another occurs which ultimately may keep you from achieving a goal or having a good time).

Habit 7 teach or mentoring to help yourself learn is the one that rings truest for me. I found this when my children were young and I helped them with homework and over the years when I taught staff members how to use a PC. By teaching you figure out what you know and what you need to learn!

First/Second Week Lessons

16Jan07 - My impressions:
Learning - acquiring new skills or knowledge
Lifelong learning can/will/do for any age and in any context
I would have called Habit 7!/2 - Be curious! rather than Play!

My learning contract will be to learn more about RSS Feeds. I've not tried out one of these since unless you are able to narrow the topic sufficiently I think I'll get way too much unnecessary, irrelevant information.

And now I've learned the first thing - how to create a blog!
